My ambition for Directing began in 2014 when I began working as a Theatre teacher for Big Act Theatre School, located in Epsom, a Saturday performing arts school that teaches children aged 0-18. It was here that I began exploring the role of a director in the students performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

 

Within my University life I continued to follow my ambition of becoming a director, beginning by taking a co-director role with Abigail Hackwood in a recreation of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

My most recent Directing role has been in my own piece What Would You Wish For? which looks at the power a wish can gave on a group of friends. This performance was based around a Dungeons and Dragons game in which three friends came together to play, what they believed, to be their final session. After defeating the Ancient Red Dragon, that had been plaguing the lands and adding to its personal hoard of stolen treasure. When all is done and the game is close to its end, a magical ring that provides the wearer with a Wish Spell bring a final level of Chaos to the game as the two players cannot seem to agree on what the wish should be used for.
